About Bernadette
Bernadette was born in Manila, Philippines, and moved with her family to California at 9 in 1972. They initially settled in Daly City, California, before later relocating to Concord, where Bernadette graduated from high school. Driven by a passion for business and technology, she pursued higher education and earned an Associate Degree in Business Applications and a Computer Specialist Degree from Heald College in San Francisco in 1989.
In 1991, Bernadette and her husband moved to Vallejo, California, where she established her long-term career path in various professional fields. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to become a licensed Realtor in April 2006, followed by obtaining her Insurance Broker license for Life, Auto, and Property insurance in 2014. In 2016, she further expanded her qualifications, becoming a Notary Public and Loan Signing Agent.
Bernadette’s career is a rich tapestry of experience across multiple industries, with a strong foundation in customer service, leadership, and business management. She began her career in the health insurance industry, where she worked for 15 years. Initially, as a claim examiner/adjustor, she progressed to a Customer Service Supervisor with General American Life Insurance in San Bruno, California, and Aetna U.S. Healthcare in Concord, California. Her dedication to her craft earned her the role of Executive Sales Representative for New York Life’s group health insurance division in Walnut Creek, California.
Her tenure in the healthcare industry continued with the federal government. From 2000 to 2012, Bernadette served as a financial accounts Supervisor with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Mare Island, Vallejo, overseeing services for veterans and their families throughout Northern California. During this time, she also served as the Labor Union President, advocating for the rights of employees within the Northern California Health Care System.
In addition to her work in insurance and healthcare, Bernadette is a seasoned entrepreneur. She invested in and managed "The New Look," a full-service beauty salon in Vallejo from 1996 to 2000, where she successfully managed business operations, trained employees, and promoted high standards of customer service. Later, in 2002, she became a business owner once again, this time with Medi-Pro Billing Services, a medical billing service that helped process medical and dental claims and facilitated payments from patients.
Bernadette’s community involvement extends beyond her professional endeavors. She is currently deeply engaged in local initiatives, serving as a member of Leadership Vallejo, a program designed to develop the next generation of community leaders. She is also the Vice President of the Fil-Am Chamber of Commerce of Solano County, where she actively contributes to supporting and empowering local businesses within the Asian-American community.

Bernadette is also passionate about supporting real estate opportunities in the Philippines. She is actively involved in the Philippine real estate market, working to make homeownership a reality for individuals and families in the Philippines. Through her connections and expertise, she aims to bridge the gap between Filipino communities in the U.S. and their potential to invest and own property back home.
Currently, Bernadette is the owner and full-time Realtor/Broker of PCH Realty Plus, where she combines her expertise in real estate, insurance, and notary services to assist her clients and the local community.
