This construction date was confirmed via the original 1912 ferry schedule found in the walls during renovations. The charming full length front porch gives you a great place to sit and read or listen to the rain on the roof. Walking through the front door, your eye catches sunlight streaming through the large stained glass window which bounces off the newly refinished original hardwood floors. Over the last three years the cottage has been lovingly renovated with fully permitted work, which includes substructure fortifications, new electric, new plumbing, new kitchen appliances, cabinets, and counters. The original bathroom addition was demoed and rebuilt. The beautiful original hardwood floors have also been refinished. If you choose not to call Serenity Cottage home for the summer, it has a solid rental history with an on-island rental agency.
